Library Time

This week mom actually made it to library time with both us kiddos. Elijah slept through the whole thing. I was a good girl and stayed with mommy when we were there and while we walked back to the van. The next day I got to play with my friends Andrew and Katelyn next door while mommy took Elijah to work to see daddy. I even ate ziti while there. (Peanut butter crackers sound so boring next to ziti!)Then on Friday my friend Charis came over with her mom. She was jealous of my having a little brother, but she will get one for Christmas. Her mommy is making it in her belly now.

Saturday adventures

Today we went for a walk around the block while dad mowed the lawn. Mom pushed Elijah in the big stroller and I pushed my kitty in the little stroller. Mom kept telling me to watch where I was going. (I only ran into her a few times.) Later I had finished my nap and wanted to see mom but she was in the bedroom, so I surprised everyone by opening the door. (Up until today I had just closed doors.) Then I decided to work on my alphabet puzzles. I can do them by myself and can name some of the letters. (Even though they say ages 3-6.) Guess all the talk about the letter of the day on Sesame Street is helping me.

Weigh in

The other night dad put me on the scale, cause I seemed so heavy. I have increased my body weight by 50%. I now weigh over 12 lbs!

Lost

We went to the grocery store yesterday and I got to drive the cart again... (see earlier post). I insisted on bringing my sunglasses inside, since mom and dad always wear them while they are driving. However I left them in the store. I realized halfway home and started asking for them. Daddy went back with me and we looked for them, but we didn't find them. Too bad, they were hot pink with sparkles.

Measure me

We are both growing fast. Mikayla: I know that when dad gets out the camera I'm supposed to stand by this wall so he can take a picture. (I always say "see, see, see" afterwards.) So I'm teaching my little brother how to stand by the wall with me. (Mommy helped.)

Gatorland

Here in Florida we have lots of alligators. We have an amusement park named Gatorland, and one of the big universities has a gator as its mascot-- whatever that is. I figured I'd make an effort to fit in... I hope the hat isn't too much.

Career paths

Mikayla:
Yesterday I turned 22 months old. With two so close I need to figure out what I will be when I grow up. I really like to dance, anytime, anywhere, so maybe I'll be a dancer. I also really like the weather, I know that when I hear thunder it means rain is coming and we will get wet. So maybe I will be a weather person on TV. I also love putting together puzzles so maybe I will grow up and solve mysteries. But I also really love waving hello and blowing kisses to people, so maybe I will be a hostess. Oh and I like pizza a lot. I could be on a commercial for Little Ceasars as I like to say "pizza, pizza." Wow so many choices. I guess I will be a dancing weather girl who eats pizza and blows kisses.

First Smile

Here it is my official first smile. (Mom and Dad wonder if it's real or gas, but tooting makes me happy, so what's the difference.) Now I got to work on getting some teeth- although I think mommy doesn't want them to come too soon.

Driving in the supermarket

Today Elijah and I took Mommy and Daddy to the grocery store to get some good food. I let dad drive to the store, but once we were there I drove. It was pretty fun, dad made sure I didn't run into anything.

Hanging in There

Here we are hanging out. Who knows where mom and dad are? Sleeping maybe? I think we are wearing them out. We are trying to stagger when we sleep, that way mom and dad don't get to sleep and we each get some time alone with them.

Turkey-Cheese

Mikayla: Has anyone ever heard of turkey-flavored cheese? Yesterday we went out to eat and I was eating cheese and then mom offered me what I thought was turkey but she called it cheese so I ate it. Yummy. Today we had pancakes for dinner. I bit holes in the middle and made eyes for my pancake. Then I bit another hole for a nose.

Opa & Oma

Here is a pic of me and Elijah with our Opa and Oma. (I call them both Oma.) You can see how I feel about sharing the spotlight. I did not want to take this picture.
