Ball Pit

Elijah: Today Mikayla decided I needed to be introduced to the ball pit. Who knew that there were so many balls right outside on the porch? It was kinda overwhelming; I just sat there while Mikayla threw balls around. Mom said when it gets a little hotter she will put some water in with the balls.

The New Picasso

Back a few weeks ago mom and dad found a cool easel for me to use for art projects. I've been wanting to paint and finally mom got some paint and brushes for me. It is so fun to paint. I wear a long t-shirt (it reaches my toes) for a smock and like to make long lines. Here I am hard art work. Today I painted a cow; it's a bit abstract, but still a cow in green grass. So far I have only painted on paper, but I did see mommy painting the wall the other day and it looked like a lot of fun. Maybe one day mommy and I will have an art show together.

Circus

Our neighbors had extra tickets to the circus so they gave them to us. Elijah: It was so fun that I fell asleep for the first half. I did like the clowns; maybe that's what I'll be when I grow up. Mikayla: The circus was really fun. They had clowns and elephants and bears but my favorite was the motorcycles that rode around in this metal globe. I clapped a lot, and even got a cool light toy thing that goes round and round. Afterwards we went to lunch and I got my own grilled cheese and fries--yummy! Then we had to come home to take a nap, which I needed but really didn't want to take.

Momma called the doctor...

No more monkeys jumping on the bed! But do please bring in Elijah. It turns out I had an ear infection, along with a runny nose, watery-eyes, a fever. Now I'm taking antibotics to get rid of the ear infection. I hate taking my medicine. I look like a clown with white painted on my face when I finish. The next day Mikayla had a fever and runny nose too so it was back to the doctors. (We got to see the nice fish in the tanks they have again!) Mikayla has a virus not bacteria, so no antibotics for her. Mommy now has a runny nose too, we are going through klenexx around here like it's going outa style.

Golden boy

This picture shows two important things: Why daddy sometimes calls me "corona boy," and my first two teeth. They have been there for awhile but I usually cover them with tongue for pics, so here's the first picture of my two front bottom teeth. I might be getting my first top tooth but I'm keeping it a mystery from my parents. The teeth have come in handy for eating tiny bits of bread and cereal.

Garage sales

Last weekend was like the biggest garage sale event of the season, so mom and dad piled us into the van to see what we could find. I wanted to get out of the van more but I guess I can stand staying in my seat as long as mommy finds cool stuff for us. Our loot this time included a Barney, Baby Bop & BJ dolls that sing, several books and this cool ballerina skirt. I had to try it out when we got home. We turned on the radio, I danced, the skirt works. This is my fake smile face, which resembles a hungry dinosaur.

Discoveries

Mikayla: This week I discovered that there is nothing really keeping me in bed at "nap time." I have decided I do not like nap time and I do not want to rest. So a few days this week I got out of my bed and was rummaging through my toy box when mom came in and was so surprised I was out of my bed. I told her I don't want to sleep, to which she replyed a phrase I'm hearing a lot of lately: "there are lots of things that you don't want to do, but you have to do it anyway." Maybe next month I will start asking why to everything. I also discovered that mom and dad don't like it when I go outside by myself. Even though I can open the garage door (with the safety thing on it), that doesn't give me free reign of the outdoors. I just wanted to go outside to see my friends.

Mookie

Mikayla: Ever get a chance to relive something special from your childhood? (I think that's part of why mommy and daddy buy us toys--I know Dad can't wait until Elijah can have some cool remote-control car thingy!) I got caught reliving a childhood memory. I call it my mookie--a pacifier (my parents have no idea why I call it that). I loved my mookie, but at 18 months my parents confinsacated all of mine. Now Elijah has a few and one day I told mommy I would go put his pacifer on his dresser. Mom came in to find me trying it out again, it tasted so good. But mom was not too pleased...guess it's only for my baby brother, but I still miss it.

Egg Hunt

Mikayla:For Easter we also went into the office where they had an Easter Egg hunt. I was a chick, and you really didn't need to find the eggs, just beat the other 100 kids to get it into your basket. I was so excited about the egg hunt, but it only lasted a few minutes and I cried cause I wanted to find more eggs. It was nice opening my eggs afterwards and looking at the candy. I had some Skittles and a Starburst! Then daddy took me to a bouncy house. I have been in it before, but I usually just crawl in and sit while the kids around me bounce. This time I actually stood up for a few seconds, before daddy had to come and get me. Then we had a nice lunch and finished off with an awesome Hostess cupcake! I love sugar! Elijah was there too but he didn't get candy, bounce or eat a cup cake. I did let him play with my empty eggs.

Perfect Easter pics

Here we are in our cute little Easter outfits, posing nicely for the camera. Mom just knew not to wait to take these on Easter... so they were taken last Thursday. Good thing too as Easter was cold and busy. Don't we look cute!

Meet Maddie

When we were gone a lot of mommy's friends had babies. Yesterday we got to meet baby Maddie (Madison), her mommy Tracy brought her over to see us. It was nice to see her, she is so little. Maybe her and Elijah will be boyfriend and girlfriend one day. Elijah gave her big smiles when she got here. We had to do a size compairson.

Easter

We went to church for Easter. It was cold that day so we didn't wear our cute Easter clothes. We did hear about Jesus and how he came back to life again. After church we went with Charis and Caleb Cannon to Boston Market for lunch. Mikayla: I got to have my own yellow lunch- with corn bread, mac & cheese and corn. We did not have any bunnies, but I did put my bunny ears on Elijah. Mommy and Daddy gave us these plastic eggs that had stuff inside to remind us of what happened to Jesus. Later mom gave us a special toy she'd been saving. It was a nice day even if it was too cold to go to the park. Oh, I almost forgot that Elijah turned 8 months old on Easter.

Playtime

On Good Friday we went downtown to a park. It had a fun playground with swings, slides and things to climb on and spin on. Mom even got spun around by daddy. Then we went to city hall to look at some artwork. We even met some other nice kids.

Me & Molly

I'm a little behind on my blogging, it's so hard being a little girl, so much to do: applying chapstick, playing with toys, helping mommy and bossing around Elijah. Here is a pic of me and my friend Molly. We went with her family out to eat. Right now Elijah outweighs her, even though he is half as old. I like playing with Molly!

Early Easter gifts

Thank you Grampa and Gramma Miller for your presents. Mikayla: I love the purse and can't get enough of the Chapstick. I had mom put all the barettes in my hair. We are looking forward to Easter. We watched a movie about Jesus this week that showed what Easter is all about. He came alive again!
Elijah: Finally I have some bibs that are not so girly. They are great as I really like eating. I will try any strange combination that mommy mixes up for me.
