Saturday

This morning, Mom went to a garage sale and brought me back a potty chair. She also got me a wading pool at Wal-mart! It's been nice here, many days in the 70s, Mom says when it gets over 80 she'll let me play in the water. After Mom got back we went to Celebration to the Posh Pooch Event. There were dogs everywhere, and many had little shirts and stuff. It was fun walking around and I even got to rock in a rocking chair, and had some french fries for lunch. When we got back I had fun playing with my shopping cart, climbing into my pool and with my little tikes car.

Thanks Sue & Marcia

We went to Toys R Us today and came home with a cool box. Inside was a toy shopping cart that mom and dad put together for me. Thanks for the present, I will push my dog around in it.

New Favorite food

The other night we went out with my friend Charis and her parents and I got to try a new food that was delicious, I mean it just melted in my mouth... ice. Yum.

Leave Leaves

Yesterday Mom and I took or daily walk to the mailbox. I saw some leaves on the ground as we walked back and decided to pick one up. Then, when mom wasn't looking I spit out my pacifier and put the leaf in my mouth. Yuck. Mom was not too happy with my spirit of exploration. She fished a few pieces of leaf out of my mouth and then gave me a directive to not eat anything I find outside unless I clear it wtih her or daddy first! Sheesh, I'm just trying new things.

Today Mommy gave me a quiz asking where my belly, mouth, feet, eyes, hair and other body parts were. I think I impressed Daddy as I pointed to mostly the right places.

My newest trick

While mom was eating a snack this afternoon, I really wanted to tell her something, but she was not listening, so I decided to say it right in her ear. Mom was very surprised when she turned to have me at eye level. She captured me doing my newest trick. I was kinda inspired by the book "Olivia saves the circus." I figured I better start practicing my climbing skills so I'll be ready next time the circus comes here.

First Valentine's date

First off let me say please don't be jealous EJ, I would've loved to have a valentine's play date with you if you were closer. That said today we had over my friend Joseph and his mom Amy. He is gonna start crawling any day, I tried to tell him that exciting times lay ahead for him... more stuff to explore, and I'm jealous cause he has stairs to climb. We played on his blanket while our moms talked. Joseph thanks for coming over!

Climbing

Have I mentioned that I love to climb? I get into my booster seat on my own, and I love climbing up on mom's exercise bike. I'm too short to reach the pedals with my feet, but one day.... In other news I added a new sign to my vocabulary; "book" and I try to do the sign for banana, but it's kinda hard.

Thank You

Thank you gramma and grampa for the card and stuffed animal! Daddy had to pry the package out of the mailbox with a knife, but I love it. The tag was yummy. Mommy says thanks too for the nice card and dinner money. I will give the kitty lots of kisses and snuggles for you. Love you lots.

Spelling

Tonight during bath time I put up my first spelled word on the side of the tub--check it out. I think I'll make it my mantra. I don't have a babysign for it, and can't say it yet, so I guess I'll just have to carry the letters around. Although Mom could think I mean "on." (I do know the babysign for "please" now--Mom and Dad like that!)

My Week

Have you missed me? Mommy wouldn't let me get near the computer last week. I got to go play with my friend Charis on Tuesday. I was so worn out afterward that I fell asleep in the minivan and slept for 3.5 hours at home. Mom felt well-rested that day. I also got to play with some friends at church on Thursday when Mom went to Bible study. I fell asleep in the car again but this time only took a short nap. It rained some on Friday and Saturday, Mom and I still went out to get a few groceries and scrapbook supplies on Friday. She finished my first-year scrapbook this week, it's pretty sweet. Oh, and Friday night we went to dinner with our friends Matt and Rene, I did some laps around the restaurant. We went to the mall Saturday and I got to play in this play area, it had a slide and lots of other kids, and it was a lot of fun! Dad took me by my bike chariot to the grocery store to get some Superbowl snacks. I got to see a little bit of the Superbowl but then I was pretty tired. I don't need to see all those beer commercials anyway. Mommy has been feeling pretty tired still. She hopes that she will get to feel better in a few weeks when she gets to her second trimester.

Twins?

No, mommy is not having twins (at least not that we know of yet) but I went in front of the camera once again to model a dress that was pure vintage! Mommy wore it like 3 decades ago! It was a little short on me. Can you tell the difference between the two of us?
