Heat Miser?

Dad says I remind him of the Heat Miser character from that Christmas special on TV. My hair has more styling possibilities when you add a little sweat. (Milk, juice and apple sauce also work nicely.)

Double

You know how in Hollywood they often use twins for the baby parts because they can't work very long? Well, I decided with all the photos and short movies daddy likes to take I should find a double. I think he is pretty convincing. Hopefully he won't make any more work for mommy.

The weekend

This last weekend we went to Target to use my gift cards from Aunt Jenny and Aunt Michelle and Uncle Peter. I got a pair of dress shoes and a Viewmaster projector. I like it a lot but wish I could use it when it's light outside. Daddy got the Christmas decorations out of the attic and we put up the tree with all the decorations. Mom and Dad put it up on a coffee table in a corner so it's harder for us to reach it. We also discovered this great art store called Pearl's. Mommy said to her it was like a toy store. Then we found a cool playground. I liked climbing the wall and other stuff. Mom calls me a monkey. Elijah likes to climb up the steps, daddy had to watch him closely so he didn't fall. Then Sunday afternoon they had a free performance of Handel's Messiah. We only watched and listened for about 45 min (we were getting squirmy). But we also got to see some people play handbells at intermission. And since I was pretty good I got ice cream and a brownie after eating a nice dinner!

Thanksgiving

The morning of Thanksgiving I got to open presents from Grandma and Grandpa and Opa and Oma. Thank you! Then we went over to the Cannons to celebrate. There were 12 or 13 other kids there. I got to eat outside at a kiddie table. We even had two bounce houses (another friend brought theirs) but we had to take them down when it started to sprinkle. Later Elijah helped Daddy take some photos of the people and I ran around with Charis and Molly. Overall it was a very nice day spent with friends.

IKEA

IKEA opened in Orlando just before Thanksgiving. After one failed attempt to visit the store we made it there the on the 21st. It was fun to look around and we had dinner there too. A guy came around who made the coolest balloon animals for us. He actually made Elijah a balloon motorcycle! We liked looking in the little rooms they had set up.

Last SeaWorld Visit

You might be wondering what we did after my birthday. Well Daddy took a vacation day last week and we went to SeaWorld one last time before I officially turned three and could not get into the park for free anymore. It was fun, we saw some shows, Shamu and rode a few kiddie rides.

Milk Please!

This is my "Please I can't open the fridge by myself and I really must have some milk" pose! (I also say mil, mil, mil over and over for emphasis.)

Mikayla's 3rd Birthday Party

Today we celebrated my third birthday--even though it's not until the 22nd. The day started when I woke up and found the living room had a bunch of balloons and decorations in the living room. It was cool. Then we had breakfast and Daddy spent some time in the backyard arranging things. Then lunch and then it was time for my party. I had 5 other little girls and my brother, and a few babies. It was fun. We went in the backyard and mommy and daddy surprised me with having a bouncy house in the yard. That was so cool! We bounced, played games, and ran around. Then we gathered at our little picnic table for cake and ice cream! Everyone sang Happy Birthday to me and I got to blow out my candle. Elijah got his own mini cupcake and ice cream, he liked it a lot. Then we got to open presents. My friends got me such nice things. I had a great time. Thank you everyone for coming!

Unitard

The other day I had to go to the bathroom. Mommy came in to see a puddle of water(?) on the floor and Elijah sitting in the water playing. Daddy then put us both in the tub. Afterward Mommy dressed Elijah in a sleeper he'd never worn. It was a little snug. (In his defense his behind really is not that big since he's wearing a diaper.)

Art Festival

This weekend we went to an art festival held at Downtown Disney (a shopping area near Disneyworld). It was fun, they had lots of artwork, plus we got to take a boat ride, see sidewalk chalk art and play near Legoland. Daddy talked with the artist who made the moose and he said that some moose can grow that large. Wow!

Office fun

The other day we visited Daddy in the office. We had fun spinning on a chair. We also got to eat a little candy. We should visit Daddy every day!

Winter PJs

It's a well known fact that neither of us stay covered at night, so mom broke out the winter pjs. Elijah has snowflakes and footies, I got some new pjs with a princess kitty.

New Sod

Mommy and Daddy each lifted about one ton of sod this weekend. (Not all at once, just piece by piece.) They are so strong. I liked our yard being dirt, but the grass looks good too.

The Wizard of Oz

Mikayla: This weekend we got to go to a special show. A marionette showing of "the Wizard of Oz" at Pinocchios theatre in the mall. We sat up close on the floor, Elijah even walked right up to the stage to see. I liked Toto the best. Afterwards we were playing in a kids play area. I liked going into this tree that had a slide and Elijah liked climbing into things.

Fam Jam

Wednesday night we went to Fam Jam at our church. They had a wallaby there, and a really big snake, and some birds. We also got some balloons, our faces painted, and candy! They also had a lot of fun games and a few bounce houses. People thought we were cute little pumpkins. We had fun and almost fell asleep on the way home.
