New Milestone

Friday I hit a new milestone, but mom and dad were not too thrilled with this new skill. It was the first time I shoved a piece of food up a nostril. I almost got away with it but mom saw me do it. It was just a grain of rice. The result was dad got the nose sucker and sucked it out. Then they gave me a lecture that my nose did not need food. "No nose food." Turns out once you put it in your nose it can not be recycled as food you put in your mouth.

Bye-Bye Gramma

Today we took gramma to the airport so she could go home to grampa. It was sad to see her go but I know grampa and sammie and bailey miss her. I'm glad she got to visit with us, we did lots of fun stuff. She helped me put together my puzzle many times and looked at books. On Wednesday we went blacklight mini-golfing. It was cool they had it decorated with lots of pictures of fish. They didn't give me a putter, but I did get two pink golf balls to carry around. I danced and climbed on stuff while dad, mom and gramma played. Then we went to an outlet store and found some bargains for my little brother. That night mom and dad made an hungarian meal, pea soup with egg noodles (I ate a bunch of both, Oma) and these thin pancakes, which I didn't eat. Yesterday we showed gramma my favorite park and I got to slide and swing a little bit before dinner. They say I am now a self-correcting child--when I get too loud I put my finger to my mouth and say shhhhh. I have been saying no a lot- I think it will be a favorite word for awhile. So now when I'm being fussy I wag my finger back and forth and say no, no, no... cracks up mom and dad every time. Hollywood here I come.

Zoo

Yesterday dad took me on a long bike ride (7 miles!) while mom and gramma were out shopping. Today we drove to Tampa to a zoo. I got to pet goats, see a baby elephant, monkeys, and even fish that were bigger than me. I loved walking around and seeing everything. I didn't want to play in the fountains with the other kids though. I think my favorite was seeing the manatees and fish, they had a part where you could see them under water. It was a long day and I fell asleep on the way home. At dinner I showed them that I could blink on cue. With that and my blowing kisses I'm becoming a flirting machine.

Weekend

Friday we picked up gramma at the airport and the fun began. We got to go eat pizza that night and I convinced dad to just let me have a piece, it was good. I also ate plenty of ice. Saturday we went to the winterpark art festival. Lots of people, lots of art. Afterwards we went out to eat, it took a long time to get our food, I tried to be entertaining and ate lots of bread. At one point I loaded my diaper, which mom guessed by my I'm-so-happy-I'm-pooping face. We even went over to a store afterwards and found a few boy outfits on clearance for my baby brother.

I'm the big sister

That's not a surprise, but yesterday mom and dad took me to this place and they stuck jelly on mommy's belly and moved this thing around and we got to see the baby inside of mommy. It looks like I will have a little brother in August. (They will double check again in a few months.) Now mom says we need to get garage saleing so we can find some boy clothes. Whats wrong with my cute pink onesies? Mom and Dad are trying to figure out a name for my baby brother, let them know if you have any suggestions.

All my words

I love to talk, however mom and dad don't understand everything I tell them. Here are a list of words I say that they understand.

Ball
Hi
DaDa
Uh-Oh
Eye
Nose

I can make signs for other words, that helps them to understand me.

More
All done
Please
Cracker
Banana
Milk
Down

I'm working on training them but the process is slow going.

Mom's Helper

Today mom was cleaning the office/playroom. She said she wanted to declutter, not sure what that means. (I do think I know what it means to clutter.) So I thought I'd try to be helpful. I pulled out several diaper wipes and started wiping the floor. Then mom showed me that I could wipe down my toys. Wow, I think I spent like an hour just wiping my toys... my shopping cart, wagon, ball pit, big ball, and the floor some more. I like being mommy's little helper.

Leu Gardens

For the second Monday in a row mom took me to Leu Gardens. This time we invited my friend Charis and her mom. We had a great time running around, holding hands, climbing stairs, picking up flowers, leaves and berries and squealing with delight. We took our big red van, and Charis got to sit in her car seat next to me. We held hands and talked while our mommys talked. I'm hoping to take Gramma here next week. Thanks for coming Charis, it was fun!

Day at the Park

Today we went to a place called Moss Park near Daddy's work. I had fun swinging on a big girl swing (until I forgot to hold on) and sliding. Then we walked around and went to the lake and I played in the sand. At first I was kinda scared of the sand, but later I had fun dumping it on myself and even tasting a little. It was a good day, I fell asleep in the car.

Car Wash

This is the way you wash the car, wash the car, wash the car... You need a sponge, water, soap, and a car. Check, check, check. Dad and I had fun washing our vehicles today. See my little green sponge?

Good Pickin's

I'm trying new words out every day. Today mom and dad noticed I was saying "nooo" and realized since I was pointing at my nose thats what I meant. I also pointed at mom's nose and actually stuck my finger up her nostril producing a slightly bloody nose. She wasn't too thrilled. I can point to several other body parts when asked. However, I am still confused as to who this "daddy" character is supposed to be, somedays I point to mom or to myself. In other news mommy bought me some "training toothpaste"- no trains are involved, but it is yummy and I actually let mommy and daddy brush my teeth. I've also been told I do a good impression of a screeching dinosaur. Mom and Dad don't seem to like that new trick.

Happy Birthday Gramma

Gramma I'm so excited to see you in a few weeks. Hope you have a happy birthday even though I'm far away. We can celebrate when you get down here. Love you!

Can't you tell that I am a busy girl? I like to keep moving. I'm not sure I even have time to type this blog. (Good thing I can type pretty fast.) Ok times up, gotta move, see ya later. Oh one bit of exciting news for me, I get to see my Gramma soon when she comes to visit.
