High Point

Saturday I was at the highest point in all of pennisular Florida. It was 265 feet above sea level. (I'm glad my sherpas--mom and dad--pushed me up the hill in the stroller.) It's the site of the Bok Sanctuary which has this cool tower that plays bells. It has lots of nice grass to run around on and pretty flowers. We even saw a pretty swan, who swam up to us. (It must know that little kids like crackers.) We had a picnic lunch by our van, and I throughly enjoyed some pringles potato chips... and left behind plenty of crumbs for the squirrels.

Watch out, Picasso

Mommy has had her oil pastels out on the table again and I wanted to draw too. So after lunch today mommy gave me my own paper and pastels to draw with. It was fun! (So fun I cried a lot when we were done and mommy took the stuff away so I couldn't use them on the walls and floor.) Don't worry grampa, most of the time I was using my right hand to draw. (Mommy helped a little with my name and the eye.) Now I just need a plan to get the pastels off the top of the fridge so I can color whenever and wherever I want.

Clean, clean

Today I did something that made mom very happy. We were in the office/play room/soon to be baby brother's room. Mom was patching the walls and I decided without prompting to pick up all my toys and put them in the toy box! Mom was very pleased. I have helped pick up balls and blocks and even books before, but usually mom has to tell me. I just want to be like mom who likes things neat. (Except when I'm playing and want to see where every toy is.)

Shopping Spree

Monday night we went to Target after dinner. We spent a long time there and mommy and daddy put a lot of stuff in the cart. (Someone gave them a gift card. Thanks a bunch to whoever did that!) Mommy got a swimsuit she can wear with her big tummy, dad got a driving game where you try to crash your car and they got me this cool magoo tent. It was on clearance and came with a sleeping bag and a little chair. They got one with rockets on it for my little brother, but mom put that one in the closet. This weekend my friend Charis is coming over while mom and dad go to a wedding, I can't wait to show her my tent. (Devon--my favorite babysitter--is invited to play in the tent too.) Grampa I heard you like camping, maybe you can teach me some stuff when you visit this summer.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter. This is me in my pretty Easter dress. We had a nice Easter today, we went to church in the morning and then came home and I took a nap. Then mom and dad had some friends over, including my friend Charis. We had fun squealing in delight together. We also found out that our friends Mike and Allison are having their baby today!

Cell Phone

Finally, I'm almost 17 and have been begging mom and dad for what everyone seems to have and I really need. A cell phone, I mean gramma even has one! Really my primary motivation was for all the cool sounds it can make, and of course keeping in touch with my peeps. Thank you so much gramma for the cell phone. I love it.

Go Gators

Now that the Florida Gators have won the national championship, I figured it was safe to bring out gaitty. We took a walk with dad to the mailbox yesterday. I think he enjoyed the fresh air.

Monorail ride

Today after church and my nap we went over to see an orchid show at a Disney hotel. We arrived just as they were packing up, but still got to look at lots and lots of pretty flowers. Then we went to another hotel and caught a ride on the monorail! It was sweet, we even got to go in the front car with the driver. I stood looking out the window at everything passing by. Later we went to Burger King and I was bopping to the jukebox as I enjoyed some potato fries.

Cutie-Pie

One of my new tricks is to pose when mom or dad say "cutie-pie." They laugh and forget for a moment that I'm not eating everything they want me to.

Easter Egg Hunt

Today we went to Daddy's work for an Easter egg hunt. There were lots of kids and lots of eggs. I picked up a few. I even got my face painted with an egg. I also tried my very first chocolate (M&Ms)--yummy. Later I had another first, I went into one of those inflatable bouncy things. I just sat while the other kids bounced, but it was still fun. I also got to run on the nice grass and saw some of my friends. It was a fun day--I fell asleep on the way home.

Bargain Hunter

Mommy was really excited for today to come because there was a community garage sale nearby. Dad and I stayed behind and mom actually got up earlier than me. I don't think we have to worry about my baby brother wearing any of my girly clothes anymore. Mommy got over 50 pieces of clothing (mostly for my baby brother), 10 books and some wooden nesting blocks for under $40. She even got a onesie that says "I'm the little brother." Plus we helped out at "the exchange" at work and scored a bunch of free clothes for me and brother. I have a feeling our closet is going to be a little fuller now.
