Three weeks old
Elijah: Today I went to Special Beginnings with mom and dad. Mommy got the ok on driving again, and is doing well. They weighed me while there and I now weigh over 10 pounds. Better start eating more Mikayla or I will catch up to you!
Mikayla: I got to spend more time with Opa and Oma, the last few days I have gone swimming in my little pool. I love the water. Hurricane Ernesto is supposed to hit tommorow, lots of rain, it should be fun! Even if Elijah catches up in weight I think I'm still a lot faster then him, I will run some laps around the kitchen table to keep in shape.

Bubbles
This afternoon after not napping in my crib for a few hours, and waiting for the rain to stop Opa and Mommy got out my swimming pool. I love to get wet. We also played with bubbles. I love to chase bubbles. I sometimes stick the wand in my mouth, it doesn't taste very good. It's hard to make bubbles but mom is good at it.

Big Day
Yesterday, August 22, was a big day. Opa and Oma arrived from Grand Island, NY. Mikayla turned 21 months and I celebrated my 2 week birthday. Here I am trying to figure out what to do... I landed on sleeping and eating and filling a few diapers. Today I went to the doctor and he was quite pleased with my progress. I now weigh 9 lbs. 5 oz. and have gained 3/4 of an inch... putting me into the 90th percentile for height (and 75th for weight). Soon I will catch up to my sister. Oma brought some newborn pics of my daddy, and I see where I get my good looks. (I will try and get him to scan those pics to show you.)

Happy Elijah
Elijah: It's good to be home! I have a nice little bassinet to lay in when someone is not holding me. I have been sleeping a lot and there are no nurses here poking my foot, or shoving a thermometer in my armpit. I hear that voice again that was always talking about kitty and elmo--they say that's my sister. I did go to the doctor today and he said I looked good, I gained 3 oz., so I'll be back to my birth weight soon. I leaked some on dad today and almost got him with another present as my diapers make me look like a plumber. Grampa did a great job finishing my room, it now has a closet and he hung up some stuff on the wall. Back to sleep for me.

Let me introduce my favorite brother
Well, he's here! My baby brother Elijah was born yesterday at 3:42 p.m., and I got to see him later on after dinner. He's really small, and I gave him a couple kisses and hugs. I also got this cool new shirt that says, "I'm the big sister!" (Thanks, Gramma and Grampa.)
I'm having fun, although I miss having mommy and daddy around. Last night was the first night I slept at home without them--I woke up and cried some about that. We'll tell Elijah to start blogging himself soon.

Almost there
One more day and my baby brother will be born! Mommy says she is sooo ready. If getting a little brother means being spoiled by my grandparents then count me in! You may have noticed that the title has changed from "Little Bit"-- grampa's nickname for me--to include my brother. Did you know that "Nagy" means big or grand in Hungarian? So we are the Little Bigs, he, he. Dad figured since I will have to teach my brother how to type and stuff that we should just have one blog together for now. You can look for an announcement and photos in a few days.

Warming up brother's bed
I haven't seen this little bed for a long time! It's going to be my brother's when he gets here, so I thought I'd be a good big sister and make sure if was ready for him. Mom and dad and grampa and gramma all said I was too big for it, but I think I fit in there fine...maybe my bro can share it with me. See how I still fit? Just like when I was two months old in the picture below!
Grampa & Gramma
Grampa and Gramma have arrived, and they brought presents! Some were for my baby brother- I'll play with them later. They brought this awesome vacuum cleaner from great aunt bob & diane. I love to sweep around the living room. Mommy says I do a good job. Then gramma got me an Elmo doll! I had to introduce him to me-yao, cause they need to be friends. Oh and the best thing is aunt Jenny and gramma brought me a bunch of play food and dishes. They are just my size! I've been entertaining grampa and gramma so far, and soon they will be trained so I can take care of them without mommy and daddy being around.
